Hello friend!
Well, this is a surprise! I didn’t think I was going to make it to TCAF 2025, but at the last minute, I’ve been added as an exhibitor—and I’m absolutely thrilled.
I had such a great time attending last year, and it’s genuinely one of the most inspiring events I know. Being surrounded by so many talented creators and seeing all the incredible work they’re making always gives me a creative boost. Add to that the chance to be back in Toronto—my favourite city, with four or five of my favourite people—and I couldn’t be happier. It’s also the area where I spent my art college days, so it’s always a bit of a full-circle feeling walking those familiar streets again.
The festival is happening this weekend at a new venue: the historic former Maple Leaf Gardens, now Toronto Metropolitan University’s Mattamy Athletic Centre at 50 Carlton St. Perfect for someone like me who grew up loving hockey history.
Show Details:
Saturday, June 7 – 10am–7pm
Sunday, June 8 – 10am–5pm
Free to attend
I don’t know my table number just yet, but I should have that info soon—stay tuned. I’ll have all my books with me, so if you’re into comedically doomed romance, come by and say hi.
And if you're one of my Toronto pals reading this: please come visit! It would be lovely to see some familiar faces.
Here’s a fun piece of art to mark the occasion: this prairie boy is heading back to the big city. Hopefully I can find my way.
I have another comic arts festival to announce soon, as well as a round up of recent interviews and posts from other blogs, so stay tuned for those!
Thanks for reading, I love you.
